What is PCB soldering?

Soldering is a method of connecting metals. It uses heating means to form a permanent and firm bond between the two metals through the mutual diffusion of atoms or molecules of the soldering material at the contact surface of the two metals. The connection point formed by soldering is called a solder joint.

What tools and materials are used for soldering?

Solder is a fusible metal, and the solder used for manual soldering is a tin-lead alloy. It has the advantages of low melting point, high mechanical strength, low surface tension, and strong antioxidant ability.

How to start manual soldering of PCB?

1.Remove the oxide layer on the surface of components;
Internal heating soldering iron
External heating soldering iron

2.Bend and form the component feet;
Flux (rosin)
Solder resist (photocurable resin)

3.Insert and place components;
Horizontal insertion method
Vertical interpolation


4.Heat and solder;
Ready
Preheat
Welding wire
Shifting wire
Shifting iron

5.Check solder joint defects;
Pen-holding method: suitable for soldering printed circuit boards on the operating table
Reverse grip method: suitable for high-power soldering iron operation
Holding method: suitable for medium power soldering iron operation
